A Flash Camcorder will easily let you record digital videos without having to worry too much about DV tapes or DVD discs. It is because of the DV tapes and the DVDs that most of the digital camcorders look heavy and bulkier.
Flash camcorder records on a flash card, which is one of the smallest storage media. Flash cards are much smaller in size and that is why they do not take much space inside a digital camcorder.

Features like longer battery life, higher resolution, shooting still image capability, extended warranty, etc. are the standard features that you would need in any digital camcorder.
One thing particular to check in case of flash camcorders is whether you have the option of a removable media. Some of the camcorders will use a non-removable flash drive, while others will have the option of a removable media. Choose the one that gives you the most flexibility.
If you are going to shoot a lot of videos and pictures, a removable may make sense since you will not fall short of storage space. In any case, choose something that gives you more flexibility at an affordable price.
